Auckland City, AucklandOperations Improvement Lead- Airfield OperationsAn exciting project is about to go live at Auckland Airport and we are looking for three of our operational experts to be a HUGE part of this transformational journey through Project Whakahirahira’.
Focussing on the Operational Excellence stream within the Operations Team strategy, Project will be instrumental in building the operational model of the future for Operations Performance and Delivery as we move towards a world class APOC (Airport Operations Centre) model.
An APOC will see the Airport company and our stakeholders co-located within the same workspace relying on actionable intelligence and the power of our people, thus ensuring that, through true collaboration the most efficient outcomes are realised for Total Airport Management.
We are seeking applications from any of the Operations P&D Team who are energetic, motivated, open to explore all ideas, possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and who have a passion for ensuring the operational solutions set for the team are effective, efficient and implemented smoothly across the Airport and the wider company, so that together we can kick start our journey towards an APOC and a world class operating model.
If this is you, and if you have an eagerness to stamp your mark on role that provides a solid development opportunity coupled with the prospect to shape the future of Operations then we encourage you to apply.
Three 12 month secondment roles (subject to a further extensions) will be filled to create the Project Whakahirahira’ working group (PWWG) which reports to the Operations Performance and Delivery Manager on a Monday Friday basis.
Project Whakahirahira extends further than just the APOC, the PWWG will focus on two other key areas, those being 1) Understanding the five year roadmap of operational change and then working through a steering committee to understand what change is coming that affects the Operational model, and then determining how the Landside Operations Centre and AOT need to form in order to best manage.
2) Looking at the current operational tasks within both the Landside Operations Centre and the AOT and removing waste from any of the associated processes using continuous improvement methodologies.
Yes, there will be some change to come over the years in Operations Performance and Delivery and being part of this working group will make sure that the experts are involved in how that change will be shaped.
Equally it will mean that no detail is left behind and for the working group it will mean that you will have been a integral part of what is potentially the largest change to the operational model for many years.
This is a great chance for you to showcase your talent and skill set to the business, so if you think you fit the bill then why not apply?
Applications for this role closes on the 20th October 2019.
