About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor - Volunteer Leadership Development to join our national Leadership Development team.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within an area which is helping to create the future of Fire and Emergency New Zealand through its leadership and culture by driving the regional delivery of our leadership development framework, and the programmes and initiatives that align to it.
With a focus on the development of our volunteer leaders, this role directly supports our commitment to encourage, maintain and strengthen the capability of Fire and Emergency New Zealand Volunteers.
This role is based at our Regional HQ in Wellington but due to the type of work we expect you may find yourself working remotely from other locations from time to time.
To be successful in this role you will have a sound understanding of leadership development theory and demonstrated experience developing and delivering leadership programmes.
An understanding of volunteerism and leading in a volunteer context is highly desirable for this role. You will have the ability to utilise consultative, coaching and influencing techniques and the ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
