  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Warehouse Assistant for our National Distribution Facility in East Tamaki, Auckland.

    The Pirtek Group is an international success story specialising in mobile ?on site? service and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hoses and fittings utilising a franchise business system as our service & delivery model.

    Our franchise network operates across a variety of industries including earthmoving, manufacturing, construction, mining, materials handling, forestry, oil and gas.

    We are experiencing continued growth due to a philosophy based on service excellence, a proactive and planned business approach and creating a positive fulfilling work environment.

    We are seeking the appointment of a Technical Warehouse Assistant for our National Distribution Facility in Auckland. This facility provides full support to our franchise network and original equipment manufacturing customers.

    The key function of our facility is on time product supply and distribution across the country, including hose assembly, testing and certification.

    This opportunity provides a role that delivers immense variety in a fast-paced environment, which requires a person with good mechanical / technical aptitude, service focussed and effective attention to detail.

    This is a hands-on role that requires commitment, enthusiasm, great work ethic and importantly you need to be a team player.

    Based at our East Tamaki facility and reporting to our Supply Chain Manager the role will include, but will not be limited to the following key responsibilities :

    Key Responsibilities

  • Container unloading
  • Stock replenishment
  • Stock picking
  • Hydraulic & industrial hose assembly
  • Hose testing
  • Cyclic stock takes
  • General warehousing duties
  • Customer service
  • Preparation of freight bookings
  • Administration
  • Quality checks

    Previous experience within the hose and fitting industry is preferred but not essential. Product and business processes training will be provided and further career opportunities may exist.

    After hours availability may be required along with some flexibility around working hours.

    Having a forklift licence is preferable, and as some heavy lifting is required, an appropriate level of fitness is necessary.

    Wages will be subject to experience, and will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
