    Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

    We are looking for a Senior Social Procurement Advisor who will deliver support and provide advice to Kāinga Ora stakeholders and suppliers focused on social procurement.

    You will be the connector and advocate for all things on our broader outcomes agenda. This new role sits within our wider Procurement and Supplier function and is an important one for us.

    We need someone who can come in and challenge the status quo, bring their exceptional relationship building skills and have a good understanding of best practice procurement processes.

    To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in a senior procurement role where you are able to come in and hit the ground running.

    You will be looked upon as a leader in this area so we need someone with a confident attitude and a real focus on engagement to be top of mind.

    You will need to be a natural influencer and be able to give sound SME advice to your stakeholders.

  • Experience in prioritising demands, meeting deadlines and delivering desired results by taking ownership and using effective self and time management approaches
  • Demonstrated commitment to relationship building and working in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, work well with others and influence at all organisation levels
  • The ability to use sound judgement and diplomacy when interacting and responding to different situations
  • Experience navigating and operating in a regulated environment, experience working constructively across functions and track record of building and maintaining the trust of all stakeholders
