You'll be joining the Occupational Therapy team who share Auckland DHB's values of Haere Mai (welcome), Manaaki (respect), Tūhono (together) and Angamua (aim high).
This part-time leadership position (16 hours per week) provides first-line contact and collaborative support for students and registered occupational therapists supervising students on fieldwork placements within the Auckland DHB catchment.
As an experienced practitioner, you will lead, coordinate and allocate clinical placements for Occupational Therapy; ensuring a range of placement opportunities across the provider arm and other non-DHB settings across the district.
You will provide coaching and mentoring for registered occupational therapists that supervise students and collaboratively support students to achieve their educational objectives and placement evaluations.
You will be a valued member of the occupational therapy professional governance group; demonstrating outstanding relational, communication and leadership skills and work in close partnership with the Professional Leader Occupational Therapy, AUT University and Otago Polytechnic Fieldwork Coordinators and other fieldwork leaders across a range of professions.
You will be encouraged and supported to develop your potential, including leadership and management skills, alongside engaging in formal supervision and continuing professionaldevelopment.
