We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent position with the Auckland District Health Board in Clinical Perfusion at Auckland City Hospital.
Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand is set in a pristine marine-based environment with a temperate climate and has a population of 1.
5 million. It is a vibrant mixture of lifestyles and cultures and offers easy access to stunning and diverse scenery and a wonderful range of outdoor pursuits.
The Cardiothoracic Service at Auckland City Hospital (ACH) is the main Cardiac Centre in New Zealand providing the full range of cardiac surgery for both ischemic and rheumatic heart disease, aortic surgery, heart, lung and liver transplantation for which the adult caseload is approximately 1200 per year.
The unit is also the national ECMO centre for which it has a retrieval service.
A subset of the ACH perfusionists also provides perfusion services for the Starship Children’s Hospital Cardiac service.
