For the continued provision of high standard care, we are seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Satellite Dialysis Unit , Gisborne Hospital

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced registered nurse and you would have at least 5 years dialysis, acute renal or medical nursing experience.

Essential attributes

  • Registered Nurse with current NZ APC
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proven communication skills and excellent physical assessment skills.
  • Practices with integrity and incorporates the Treaty of Waitangi in their practice to reduce inequity
  • Is a clinical leader and supports service development
  • Hold an expert portfolio
  • Hold a post graduate diploma and be prepared to work towards a masters qualification in nursing
  • An empathetic and friendly disposition is vital, along with an excellent approach to problem solving, as is the ability to organise and to remain calm under pressure.

    Those that do not hold all essential attributes may be considered.

    Gisborne Hospital is a secondary care facility situated on the East Coast, comprising of urban and rural communities covering a large area, and serves a population of approximately 45,000.

    We work closely with our tertiary renal team from Waikato DHB to provide haemodialysis outpatient care in the Satellite Dialysis Unit

    This position is 1 FTE working 80 hours per fortnight.
