The PositionAs a Study Start-Up / Country Study Specialist you will oversee the process of local clinical trial feasibility assessment, allocation, setup, and ongoing management of a number of clinical trials.

Your broad expertise in the start-up of industry-sponsored clinical trials and sound understanding of the New Zealand clinical research environment will be essential to the success of this role.

Experience with oncology, neurology or phase 1 clinical trials will be an advantage. In this position, you will be the contact point across a wide range of Roche’s regional and international clinical trial stakeholders as well as New Zealand clinical trial site personnel.

Ideally working from our office in Newmarket, Auckland, you will form a crucial part of a high performing Clinical Operations team.

With a strong pipeline of specialty medicines across a broad range of therapeutic areas you will be joining the team at Roche working passionately to bring exciting, innovative medicines to New Zealand patients who need them.

To be successful in this position, our new Study Start-Up Specialist / Country Study Specialist will have : a university degree or equivalent, preferably in a medical / science related fieldprevious direct involvement with the start-

up and conduct of industry-sponsored clinical trials with a strong preference for experience from a Pharma perspectiveexperience with clinical trial budgeting and Fair Market Valuea broad understanding of New Zealand’s clinical trial regulatory environmenta thorough working knowledge of ICH-

GCPexcellent communication skillsa positive can do’ attitudecomputer literacy and experience with web-based tools such as clinical trial management systemsexcellent written and verbal communication skillsability to work autonomously whilst actively supporting a high performing teamthe legal entitlement to live and work in New Zealand.
