What you’ll be doing

Demonstrate your expertise, passion and skills as you operate as part of an effective and engaged Assurance team.

This role is based in Auckland and reports to the Manager Operate Network.

As a Network Assurance Manager you will be an integral part of the Assure leadership team. Leading a team of technical analysts in delivering to our regulatory and commercially defined operational customer & service experience levels for faults. You will :

Provide inspirational people leadership in alignment to our agreed people leadership practices, Values and standards of Chorus that ensures the highest levels of engagement and productivity for Assure team members.

Ensure effective operations management practices and processes are implemented and carried out across the Assure team to deliver against our restoration commitments for all customers and products.

Drive Continuous Improvement within the Assure function and across wider Chorus teams. Identify, plan and execute preventative strategies to enhance customer experience, reduce overall volumes within support teams & reduce costs.

Working effectively as part of a collaborative leadership team, aligning and leading multiple teams delivering the same outcomes.

Makes and takes accountability for prompt, clear, well-reasoned decisions that involve tough choices or considered risks

Builds and maintains effective and positive networks with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders across and outside the organisation.

What you’ll bring to the table

A role like this is for someone with a great deal of know-how and can-do. To succeed, you’ll need :

Significant experience in customer & technology service operations leadership roles (preferably in the Telecommunications industry)

Tertiary qualified preferred

Experience working as part of a collaborative leadership team, leading multiple teams delivering consistent and aligned outcomes.

Business acumen, can think in terms of the bigger picture, and exercise sound decision making that aligns to the functional business plan and the wider Chorus strategic goals.

Proven track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives utilising best practice frameworks

Ability to embrace change and work in an adaptive environment

Strong background in stakeholder & supplier / partner management

Strong negotiation and influencing skills
