The NFDM is responsible for creating and executing sales plans with key accounts and independent trade focusing on improving visibility, availability and activation using the resources available including Regional Field Sales Managers (RFSM), DP Managers (DPM’s), DP reps, Regional Account Executive (RAE) and Third-Party Merchandising and external sales resources.
SALES MANAGEMENT TO CREATE PERFECT STORESThe NFSDM is responsible for leading the RAE team (through the RFSM in some cases) in executing sales strategies and initiatives by banner / account as directed by the Key Account Team (KAM.
This also involves preparing action plans that quantifies sales targets by key customers in conjunction with the KAMS and Category Management (CatMan.
Execute systems, processes and tools to help RAE’s achieve their set targetsDrive the team to deliver Perfect Store Execution’ focusing on improving Availability, Visibility and Activation.
Provide reporting and feedback to stakeholders as requested in full and on timeDevelop and maintain professional business relationships with all key internal and external influences that will assist delivering on perfect store execution’Keep up to date with market intelligence and what’s happening in the fieldEstablish and maintain strong relationships with all key National stakeholders i.
e., regional / area managers of key customers.DISTRIBUTION PARTNER MANAGEMENTEstablish strong external relationships to senior stakeholders of all Distribution Partners, be the point of escalation if required.
Ensure the DPM team is planning, recording, and managing all Trade Spend appropriately in the CPM system.Ensure the DP’s deliver on forecasted volume and profitability targets.
Coach and develop the DPM team to become highly functional commercial experts that grow the Red Bull business and brand through their DP customers.
Driving the negotiation and setup of new Distribution Agreements and ensuring contracting hygiene principles are implemented.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENTEnsure the team understand their individual job roles and are working to agreed global practices and values.
Ensure the team is achieving to agreed team standards, targets and specific KPIs.Provide leadership, clear direction & guidance.
Coach direct reports to ensure the teams contribution and potential is maximized.Train and develop direct reports towards Mastery.
Set budgets and plans on a quarterly and annual basis that assist in Red Bull NZ achieving its goals.Maintain accurate reporting tools to assess the success of each RAE, RFSM and DPM.
Establish and maintain a dynamic and fun team environment that encourages positive attitude, team interaction and creativity.
Ensure the team have the required information and tools to ensure success.Drive and foster strong relationships between the wider Red Bull team and the Field / DP team.

Evaluates their direct reports in their roles and ensures a performance-based compensation in line with Red Bulls compensation philosophy.
EXTERNAL AGENCY MANAGEMENTManage the partnership of our external resource agency, with frequent business reviews with high level stakeholders.
Train our external agency using Red Bull sales and merchandising trainings.Support trade marketing and operations to ensure correct management of POS and coolers through our agencies.
Conduct annual audits on our agency to drive and monitor service delivery and lead benchmarking exercises every two years where you will be responsible for negotiating, contracting and termination of service level agreements if required.
EXPERIENCEYour areas of knowledge and expertisethat matter most for this role : Minimum 3 years proven people management, coaching and mentoring experiencePrevious FMCG Field Sales or DPM experience, both is preferableStrong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze, interpret and manage sales dataProficient at commercial math, an understanding of a P&L is advantageous.
Experience in forecasting, and setting and reviewing sales targets & KPIsStrong interpersonal skills, with internal and external stakeholdersStrong desire for continuous improvement with a growth mindsetExcellent communication (written and verbal) and active listening skillsSkilled presenter and negotiatorHighly organised, structured with effective planning and time management skillsExperience in setting up agency partnerships and negotiating and terminating third party contracts is beneficialAt all times present yourself as a Red Bull Brand Ambassador by acting in a diligent & professional manner in the marketplace in keeping with Red Bull core values.
This role also encompasses various executional activities which may occur outside of standard operating hours. The expectation is that you will work the hours required to fulfill the requirements of the role.
