Our Kapiti Child and Adolescent Mental Health team is looking for a mental health clinician for their multidisciplinary team for a 12 month fixed term position beginning 1 July 2018.

This team works with children and young people ages 0 to 18 who have moderate to severe mental health difficulties, and their families / whanau.

The preferred candidate will have a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work or Psychology.

This is a 12 month fixed term / secondment opportunity of 32 hours a week, with some flexibility in days worked.

DUTIES

  • Assessment and treatment of infants, children, young people and their families
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Liaison with community and partnering agencies
  • Multi-disciplinary team working; experience with Choice and Partnership a plus
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Registered mental health professional (nurse, Social Worker, OT, Psychologist) with recognised qualifications and current annual practising certificate
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families with a range of mental health concerns in a community mental health setting
  • Discipline specific skills
