Within your role as Principal Advisor and reporting to the Head of Service Programmes, you’ll be providing strategic direction, expert and tactical advice, and programme and project management support to ensure the smooth operation of the Parks, Sports and Recreation Department.
Your provision of thought leadership will be crucial, as you champion robust planning, monitoring and evaluation of the department’s planning programme, and take responsibility for developing and leading complex projects.
He kōrero mōu : About youYour technical and professional background will include experience at a senior level where you can talk to your track record of designing and leading complex programmes of work.
This will include successful experience in strategic planning and business processes, leading the implementation of a strategic monitoring framework and delivering related cultural change initiatives.
Naturally alongside this will come the ability to prepare quality advice, influential reports and compelling presentations.
Strong and evident influential strategic relationship management will come with you as a key strength, as will being able to manage your own time and resources, and being proactive and inclined to take action.
You’ll have a sound understanding of Auckland Council’s governance model and embrace our commitment to Te Ao Māori as we develop broader and deeper thinking around Auckland’s unique identity and Māori wellbeing.
