Rakon is a global high technology company - a New Zealand grown success story and a world leader in its field. We design and manufacture advanced frequency control and timing solutions for telecommunications, global positioning and space and defence applications.

We’re looking for Production Operators to join our crystal production team on our PM shift (3.30 pm 12am). This role is based within our Cleanroom where it is required to wear full protective clothing including a face mask.

This role involves assembly of very small quartz crystal resonators in a ceramic package (product size range from 2.0 x 2.5mm to 7.0 x 5.0mm).

The assembly is a combination of manual processes plus using highly automated machinery to complete our product. The role also requires some PC work.

    Full paid training is provided.

We’d love to hear from people with the following :

  • Good time management skills and a solid attendance record
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Able to inspect parts under a microscope
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Technical experience in an electronics manufacturing or similar setting, and previous exposure to a Cleanroom environment, are a plus.

Our recruitment process includes a numeracy / literacy assessment, as well as a practical skills assessment.

At Rakon, we value problem solvers who embrace failure as a learning opportunity and who are continuously seeking to improve.

If you consider yourself a team player, who takes ownership and is task-focused, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note that we must give preference to candidates with current residency or citizenship.
