Permanent Full Time Monday to Friday Rostered shifts between 6.30am - 5.00pm Free on-site parking Based at Ascot Hospital, RemueraAt MercyAscot - First We Care.

We're a part of the Healthcare Holdings Group of companies and we're New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres across 3 sites including an Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care facilities.

Our surgical specialties include : Colorectal / Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, Plastics (incl flaps), ENT / ORL, Orthopaedic / Spinal, Head & Neck, and Cardiac / Vascular.

Our patients are both adults and children.We're looking for an experienced Bookings Coordinator to join our wonderful - and busy! - surgical Bookings team, based at Ascot Hospital in Remuera.

As a Bookings Coordinator, you'll provide surgeons and secretaries with outstanding service whilst managing their surgical lists with MercyAscot and facilitating all patient bookings for those lists.

Your main duties will include : Recording and maintaining all bookings accuratelyActing as a conduit between all parties in the hospital and specialists rooms, ensuring all communication is clear, professional and promptRe-scheduling any cancelled theatre sessions to maximise theatre time and revenueBuilding and maintaining rapport with internal and external stakeholdersParticipating in contributing towards projects as requiredThe successful candidate will have : Previous experience in a patient bookings or administration (preferably in healthcare)Experience with PiMs and Medical Terminology (an advantage)Strong interpersonal skills and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and deal with conflictGreat attention to detailSuperb organisation and time management skillsOur people tell us that they love working at MercyAscot because of the great people and the teamwork, and also because we're large enough to be progressive, but small enough to care.
