About the Role
The Takaka District is need of a Ranger Heritage and Visitor. Supporting two Supervisors in the delivery of fieldwork. The role will focus on the Great Walks programme on the Abel Tasman track our busiest national park, and the Heaphy Track - our longest great walk.
Although the role is expected to be largely field based supporting the other Rangers and Hut Wardens it will also require you to place just as much importance on the delivery of office-based tasks.

If you can turn your hand to most things, you are a practical, problem solver with able to think on your feet and a positive team player, you might be just the ranger we're looking for! Specialist skills and experience in visitor management, construction and maintenance of sites and assets necessary.
You will have experience working in the backcountry. You will most definitely need to be able to demonstrate strong field planning and coordinating skills.
