During the initial two year graduate training phase of your position as an engineer with us you'll be learning from the best.

You'll work with a variety of people across our talented teams and be mentored along the way. You will be exposed to various aspects of software development to be able to progress, when competent, into a Software Development role.

You will support the integration of vision software and hardware to provide accurate and timely information for Scott equipment.

Some of our Graduate Engineers will have the opportunity to work at our overseas sites during their training. At the end of the graduate programme you will be well-equipped to continue forging a satisfying career with us.

To be a great match to this role you will have :

  • A tertiary qualification - the minimum being a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • A strong mathematical background
  • A knowledge of computer hardware control
  • A minimum of one of the following (preferred) : An understanding of automated industrial machinery, including basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems Some experience of robotic / electromechanical control systems A basic knowledge of cameras and optics
  • Proficiency in PC based applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
  • The ability to follow client specifications
  • A customer and results focus, possess integrity, and be a proven team-player
  • A current driver's license (preferred)
  • The right to live and work permanently in New Zealand is (essential)
