    The Emerge Aotearoa Group provides a wide range of wellbeing and social services across Aotearoa, including mental health, addiction, employment, disability, peer, social housing and wellbeing support.

    What you will do :

    Support the strategic and operational objectives of the organisation and People Experience team by turning people data into meaningful and actionable insights.

    You will take ownership of the organisation's brand new HRIS and play a key role in bringing it to life for our kaimahi.

    As the SME for this system you will oversee developments, improvements and upgrades in the system, data testing and the ongoing quality assurance of people data.

    Support remuneration frameworks, collective bargaining and other strategic projects, providing specialist advice, data and modelling.

    Govern and advise on our data collection protocols for people information, and ensure we are compliant on this front.

    Continuously seek out ways to improve the quality and management of people data across the organisation.

    You will also work with the People Experience team to incorporate and integrate Emerge Aotearoa's Te Tiriti o Waitangi framework in people practices.

    Who will thrive in this role?

    A curious and innovative data guru who loves asking "why" will excel in this role. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has :

  • 3+ years' experience in analysis or equivalent role
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, and experience using other analytics software
  • Previous experience using reporting / visualisation software - i.e. PowerBI
  • A working knowledge of HR processes and systems
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organisational settings
  • High levels of competence manipulating, consolidating, reporting and presenting data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A relevant tertiary level qualification e.g. in HR management, business studies etc, or commensurate experience
  • Whilst not essential, it would be great if you also had :

  • Knowledge of remuneration structures and practices
  • Experience working in the Not for Profit or Public Sector
  • Experience in business process analysis and system improvements (from documentation of requirements through to testing and implementation)
