Senior / Principal Policy Adviser (Wellington / Auckland) Office of the Privacy Commissioner

  • Response to Covid-19 working with MoH, DPMC, border and other agencies on the use of personal information at the border and in MIQ, and by the Covid Tracer app and other technologies
  • Development and deployment of biometrics and facial recognition technologies, including by law enforcement
  • How AI and algorithms are driving changes in the privacy landscape
  • How landlords and property managers are using personal information in the rental sector
  • International developments in privacy we have an outsized influence on global privacy debates
  • Ground-breaking inquiries initiated by the Commissioner into privacy-related matters What's it like to work with us :

  • You don't need to have had prior privacy experience but you do need a keen interest in privacy issues. You must also have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
