The delivery team is small with a lot of opportunity for personal growth.
We are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to deliver a range of small to medium manage a variety of projects end to end including IT, (but non-infrastructure) Compliance and Business Change initiatives.
The role includes analysis and management through the delivery of small to medium projects; from scoping and planning, through to embedding with the customer.
You will lead and deliver projects which assist in the delivery of the QBE NZPAC’s strategic goals.
Our chosen candidate will be delivery focused, possess excellent relationship management skills and have demonstrated experience of building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships to work in collaboration with others across the business.
They will have an analysis background and be able to manage small to medium projects with ease.
You will play a key role in acting as the pivot or intermediary between end-users and technology to ensure that business / user requirements are delivered from end to end.
This role gives you the opportunity to work on a variety of change projects across NZ and the Pacific Islands.
Able to flex between analysis and management of small to medium initiatives, depending on the priorities
Be delivery focused and drive initiatives to completion within deadlines
Use your initiative to resolve issues
Work with stakeholders at all levels
Refine and manage delivery of a backlog of work
Work with the wider team to embed new ways of working (QBE use a hybrid way of working as we move from waterfall to an agile way of working)
Understand the QBE NZ strategy and how the team deliverables align to the strategy
Work with assigned business units to plan and schedule Enhancements
Develop project documentation in alignment within company policies / methodologies
Support the business in the development of detailed business requirements; provide qualitative feedback and support to ensure Service Provider is able to action the work.
Ensure business requirements are sufficiently detailed to enable further project documentation to be documented including technical designs and testing documentation
Responsible for managing the implementation of initiatives against plan.
Your story so far
A number of years’ experience as a senior business analyst and experience managing small to medium projects / initiatives (non-infrastructure focused)
Exposure to the Insurance or Financial Services industries are essential
Self-management, able to work effectively on multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
Flexible and able to adapt to work to priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work in a changing environment
A broad knowledge of SDLC, business analysis, project management processes and project prioritisation, scheduling processes and tools
Excellent problem solving skills.
