    The City Rail Link (CRL) is a game-changer for Auckland. It’s NZ’s largest government funded transport infrastructure project ever and we are committed to boosting economic activity by providing jobs to Aucklanders in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Britomart, creating two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape Road and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Mt Eden station.

    About the role Reporting to the Shift Leader, the TBM Surface Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient coordination and control of TBM surface construction duties.

    You will oversee up to 15 workers at any one time, ensuring the highest approach to safety, quality and positive leadership amongst the crew.

    Key responsibilities include :

  • Coordinate all surface activities to ensure TBM is supplied with all materials in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other shift surface supervisors to ensure all materials required for tunnelling are ordered and delivered on time.
  • Ensure shift reports are completed at the end of each shift and carry out shift handover in person to the next TBM Surface Supervisor.
  • Provide positive leadership and mentoring to all team members within the project, leading from the front to get the job completed on time
  • 85% working on site, 15% office, timesheets, planning, prestart and daily diary
  • About You :

  • 7 years’ or more construction experience, with at least 3 years' as a team leader
  • Knowledge of TBM operations is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with an ability to converse with team members and suppliers at all levels
  • Able to problem solve and has a collaborative approach with other teams
  • Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements relating to regulatory and industry standards
  • Can work on shift
  • All successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test & medical.
