    About the role :

    Providing support within our Pacific Peer Support Service in South Auckland - You'll join clients on their recovery journey, providing a safe environment for our clients.

    Developing and delivering a variety of recovery based programs in a 1 to 1 and group setting.

    Joining our multi disciplined team, you'll be working in a positive environment. You'll be working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

    Using your lived experience, you will provide support to people to regain hope and wellbeing and support them on their journey to independence.

    Who we're looking for :

    We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate to work in our service.

    You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community. You'll use your non judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.

    What you need :

  • Completed CMDHB approved Peer Employment Training (PET)
  • Completed a personal WRAP plan
  • It's essential that you have a full New Zealand driving licence
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries
  • Knowledge of Pacific models of care
  • At least two years skills, knowledge and experience supporting mental health clients from Pacific cultures
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice.
