OurOperating Theatre Suite at Christchurch Hospital consists of 28 theatres,providing acute and elective operating from all surgical specialties on a 24hour, 7 day a week basis.

We’relooking for an experienced registered nurse to join our nursing team as ourNurse Educator. This role works inpartnership with another theatre nurse educator and has the main portfoliofocus of nursing staff especially generic orientation, NETP’s and new staffsupport.

Itis envisaged your broad knowledge of operating theatre work, recent experience, enthusiasm and passion will drive the provision of education to new andexisting staff.

Asa positive role model in clinical leadership you will work collaboratively withthe senior nursing team across the theatre services to ensure high standards ofnursing education are delivered to our teams.

Youwill be working Monday to Friday 8am-4 : 30pm.

Yourclinical expertise will enable you to provide valuable support and education tostaff whilst you facilitate innovative, creative education within the serviceand will place you perfectly as a resource for the team.

Self-motivation,with exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability toengage a wide range of people, is paramount in this role.

  • You will be an experienced senior Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate this is a senior nursing role
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • You will be an advanced nursing practitioner with excellent time management, interpersonal / organisational skills and ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • Ability to share and demonstrate specialist knowledge with skills experience in teaching, mentoring and coaching
  • You will hold, or currently be working towards, Level 8 post graduate qualification
