This newly created permanent fulltime position sits within our health and safety team and will support our onsite Registered Nurse to improve health and well-being of ANZCO Foods Canterbury employees (including Ashcold and Rakaia sites).

We are looking for a registered nurse who holds a current practising certificate and current first aid and CPR certificate and ideally two years post graduate experience.

Duties and Responsibilities will include :

  • Pre-employment screening for fitness and suitability of roles within the plant
  • Annual health monitoring - hearing, lung function, vision, WOFs for safety critical roles
  • Other health monitoring - seeing and assessing individuals on an ad hoc basis e.g. BP checks, weight checks
  • Early intervention of injury management - day to day issues, physio appointments, first aider support
  • Drug testing
  • General employee engagement
  • General clinic administration
  • Promoting and owning the process management for injury support as a priority in delivering appropriate response, post injury reviews and communicating to section managers and supervisors of progress
