    About the Role

    We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Infrastructure Lead who will manage the IT infrastructure as well as outsourced Service Desk function at Metlifecare.

    This newly created fixed term contract (until 2023) will be based out of our Newmarket Support Office and will play a key part in meeting our objectives in relation to service delivery, business continuity, resilience and security.

    Some of the great things you will be doing :

  • Managing our Service Desk partnership to ensure a high level of service delivery to internal customers. This will also include managing the data centre, network and server infrastructure.
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of critical business IT resources.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations by monitoring system performance; configuration; maintenance and repair. Ensuring problem and incident management is minimised and we are working towards the Service Level Agreements.
  • Formulate operational plans; continuous service improvements and development road-maps
  • Lead in the procurement and installation of hardware; configuration of server infrastructure; and deployment of applications within a production environment
  • About you

    We are looking for someone to indirectly lead whilst being an infrastructure technical guru. Some other things that will support your application include :

  • Experience undertaking IT security assessments and driving remedial action plans.
  • Communications and Stakeholder Management, across a variety of key business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Strong statistics and data analysis skills with the ability to use this Information to problem solve and manage complexity and interdependencies
  • Technical qualification, computer science degree or similar desirable
  • Familiarity with processes and recommended practice associated with IT Service Management principals within an ITIL based operational framework.
