The role

is responsible for general operational areas of work across civil projects including day-to-day responsibility for safety, quality and environmental compliance.

You will work nightshifts on the ASM Project (Auckland System Management Maintenance Alliance) across a wide range of activities including roading / pavements and general civil infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Effectively lead site teams and ensure compliance to strict health and safety standards
  • Contribute to the planning of a project to ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Ensure plant, labour and materials are utilised on site effectively and efficiently to deliver tasks
  • Ensure best practice in operational delivery, health and safety, environmental and quality assurance on site
  • Using your extensive industry experience, motivate and inspire staff to strive for the best outcome on projects
  • Work effectively with wider HEB teams to utilise specialist skills and knowledge available across the company
  • Represent HEB in a professional and knowledgeable manner to when interacting with clients, engineers and key stakeholders
  • About you :

  • Experience working across a wide range of civil works, i.e. roading, earthworks, drainage and concrete works
  • 5 years' supervisory experience in civil construction
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • A great team player with the ability to motivate and lead teams on site
  • Ability to plan tasks efficiently, including allocation of plant and labour resources and materials
  • Class 1 license is essential, Class 2 with WTR is desirable
