These developments include the addition of a purpose-built consulting centre and day procedure facilities, as well as the introduction of advanced digital operating theatres, diagnostic technologies and new patient facilities.

Southern Cross' hospital in the Capital also features a modern intensive care unit, which allows the hospital to provide higher-risk patients and for the increasing number of complex elective surgical procedures now performed in the private sector.

Our Wellington Specialist Centre offers a range of clinical services, and specialties and currently include orthopaedics, gastroenterology, endoscopy, general & colorectal surgery, vascular services, gynaecology, urology, paediatric surgery, neurophysiology, ophthalmology, and oncology.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sterile Services Technician to join our team. This position is a full time / part time position.

Within this role you will be required to provide as part of the theatre team, delivering a high standard of sterilising service consisting of the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices.

This specifically involves reprocessing of contaminated sets of surgical instruments, accessories and other related equipment used within our operating theatres.

  • Min of level 3 Sterile Services Certificate (or equivalent) or currently working towards one
