Job specific information

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to use your skills as a fundraiser to support disabled people and their families to enjoy good lives.

You need to have a passion for the sector and be motivated to help improve our fundraising relationships and results. Lived experience of disability would be very useful.

We need the right candidate to form genuine relationships with our donors, be able to work with the VegaWorks database management platform and communicate effortlessly in person, over the phone and electronically.

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in :

  • Direct marketing, Face2Face, donor relationship management and development.
  • Database analysis and segmentation experience.
  • Major donor relationship building and bequests knowledge.
  • Outstanding written, electronic and in person communication skills.
  • Experience in a service delivery, community-based organisations.
  • Understanding of the disability sector and ability to relate to disabled people in a positive affirming manner.
  • Innovative thinking, with proven ability to find new approaches and solutions.
  • A strong focus on planning for deliverables and results.
  • Capability in meeting financial targets in a fundraising or related environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.
  • Ability to work remotely productively and self-manage.
  • Plenty of initiative and motivation.
  • A tertiary qualification or management experience to an equivalent level; and experience in being part of a performance-focused team.
