About the role
The Senior Practice Advisor is a member of the General Manager Probation & Case Management's team that delivers services to practitioners and practice teams.
The Senior Practice Advisor will contribute and lead projects within the wider Probation, Case Management Practice and Gang Strategy team and will provide specialist practice advice across other areas of business.
The role accountabilities will include :
Assisting the Probation & Case Management Practice and Gang Strategy teams to identify practice issues
Contributing to and lead the development of interventions and solutions that will ensure the a high quality of practice
Assisting in the development and facilitation of practice development tools and guidance
Working actively to support the integration of informed Māori concepts into all planning, processes, service design and development;
Maintaining and promoting close and effective relationships with frontline operational and practice teams

We are looking for candidates with a strong knowledge and understanding of the principles, processes and integrated practice framework of Probation and Case Management.
You will use your strong relationship and engagement skills to both navigate a variety of situations and present complex information to diverse audiences.
We are looking for candidates with :
Strong networking abilities and experience
An in-depth knowledge of Maori Practice and culture with a particular emphasis on the principles of Hokai Rangi
An understand of probation and case management practice
An awareness and commitment to the cultural values and principles of tangata whenua as well as those from different cultures.
