Develop your leadership skills. Enjoy the New Zealand lifestyle! We are seeking a fixed term part time (0.95 FTE) qualified Sleep or Respiratory Physiologist to join our team.
We are a friendly, hard-working, multidisciplinary team who provide assessment and support to local and national children with complex, chronic or severe respiratory diseases, respiratory failure and sleep disordered breathing.
Starship Hospital is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in the country serving a population of approximately 1 million children.
The hospital is co-located with the adult hospital and provides a full complement of subspecialty paediatric medical and surgical services.
We have an international reputation and are renowned academically as a leading teaching hospital with strong links to the University of Auckland.
Ideally you are a qualified Sleep Physiologist. We still want to hear from you if you are a trained Sleep or Respiratory physiologist who meets the requirements for registration (found on the Clinical Physiologist Registration Board website, http : / / www.
cprb.org.nz / Registration Standards), have a BSc and a post graduate diploma, and would sit the exam to become registered.
Your role in our paediatric team as a Sleep Physiologist will focus on setting up and scoring sleep studies in children as well as some training in basic spirometry.
As a permanent part time position, the roster includes day, evening and night shifts. We will also welcome applicants who are qualified Respiratory Physiologist with an interest in extending their skills in sleep .
Support and training will be provided in those aspects of the position which may be unfamiliar to the successful applicant.
