    What will I be doing?

    This is where you come in! Whānau are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be playing a key role in building relationships with our children and families here at BestStart Wigram!

    Best Start Wigram (building 1) is a purpose-built preschool located near Hornby in the Wigram Skies subdivision. We strive for quality early childhood education and child care for our tamariki.

    We have 3 classrooms nursery, preschool and prep room. The separate classrooms allow us to provide more age-specific challenges and cater for more individualised learning and care programmes.

    Our centre provides children with the opportunity to follow their own interests, be creative and to have fun. We pride ourselves on appreciating the diversity that each child brings into our centre.

    We ensure our programme supports the cultural beliefs of our families.

    This position is permanent working 33 hours per week with the 2 to 3.5 years class.

    Role requirements :

  • Currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about pursuing a career in Early Childhood
  • Strong understanding of of programme planning, pedagogy, ECE regulations and curriculum
