What You Will Do
Work on a variety of machine control products and product features in a multidisciplinary team where high value is placed on field testing and knowledge of how machines are used in the earthmoving industry.
You will utilise relevant industry experience to provide a voice of customer’, while working closely with software and system engineers to ensure CTCT continues to provide high-quality products to the earthmoving industry. This will involve :
Testing products and features on different machine types (excavators, dozers, graders, compactors, etc).
Communicating clearly and concisely on testing requirements and outcomes.
Maintaining software and firmware on various types of hardware.
Building wiring harnesses, brackets, and test framing.
Basic plant, vehicle, and test site maintenance.
Daily stand-ups with your delivery team liaising on current issues and priorities.
What you'll bring?

Good mechanical and electrical inclination.
A positive attitude and willingness to dive into field testing under highly variable conditions.
A strong understanding of the fundamental principles of Health and Safety.
Your Background / Qualifications :
Experience working with Machine Control, Survey instrumentation or Fleet Management systems.
A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Construction, Forestry, Mining, Surveying, Software Testing, Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience working in and around heavy machinery.
Experience operating excavators, dozers, motor graders highly regarded.
Physical ability to work on and around equipment in an earthmoving environment.
Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.

About Our CTCT Division
The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics.
The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance.
