About the Role

Due to demand, we have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our team. We work on a number of internal and external products and services that will require your focus and energy.

Some key areas of responsibility will include :

  • Working in an agile and collaborative manner, across diverse projects.
  • Leading and managing, contributing and supporting, any existing or new projects that fall into the kaupapa Māori area of expertise.
  • Contributing to all aspects of writing, editing, researching and development of materials for both print and online environments.
  • Modeling Tiriti honouring ways of working in all aspects of all projects and tasks, to meet the aspirations of our framework, Te Aho Tapu.
  • Ensuring the language learning needs of all students are accounted for in any work done within a kura, whānau, hapū, iwi or external partner.
  • Ensuring practice is underpinned by appropriate research, where needed.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working in partnership.
  • Commitment to modelling principles of Tātai Aho Rau and CORE’s values - manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, wairuatanga and kaitiakitanga.
  • Skills and Experience

  • Highly proficient in written and oral Māori and English languages
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced role, juggling multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrated content development skills and experience in Māori medium publishing
  • Sound knowledge and experience in working with the national curriculum Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and have an understanding of NCEA
  • The ability and experience to work with blended teaching and learning.
