Pernod Ricard Winemakers NZ has an exciting opportunity for an Import & Export Specialist to join our newly formed Supply Chain Team, reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Manager.

This position is based between our Auckland office, and our 3PL Logistics Provider.

This is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your technical and strategic ability and to make an impact in this newly created position.

This is a fast-paced role where you will support the Regional Supply Chain Manager to deliver best in class strategic and operational management of our distribution systems.

Your can-do attitude will ensure that the wider team and 3PL supplier relationship will go from strength to strength.

The key responsibilities of this role are planning and coordinating export and import requirements of Finished and Dry Goods.

You will manage and coordinate the receival of imported finished goods and dry goods into the relevant provider warehouse, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with MPI and NZ Customs requirements in a timely manner, ensuring all stock available within the agreed service level requirements.

You will also manage and coordinate the planning of exported finished goods, ensuring all relevant shipment information is with the 3PL supplier in a timely manner.

The successful applicant will have experience working in a fast-paced logistics role and be extremely detail focused. You will have the ability to work under pressure in a busy department where rapid turnarounds are often required, and business demands change frequently.

Tasks include :

  • Monitor and forecast expected shipments to key stakeholders, highlighting any variance to scheduled timing and / or potential capability constraints.
  • Ensure that all mandatory label requirements for imported finished goods are in line with NZ Customs and NZ legal regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging with International Customer Services, Production Planning and Freight forwarders / shipping companies to ensure export customer orders are available for despatch on time and in full.
  • Manage and coordinate all inventory and compliance requirements for every export shipment are followed and regulations adhered to (BioGro, NZ Customs, WECs), with all duty drawbacks being processed on export entry at time of export.
  • Verify 3PL provider is meeting their contractual obligations with respect to service and quality standards by participating in both regular and random export loading audits, and any follow up required.
  • The must haves are exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail. You will need to be comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous and fast paced environment.

    You’re confident in your task prioritisation skills and decisive in complex situations to meet ever changing demands.
