BNZ's Regulatory Affairs team manages BNZ's key regulatory relationships. In a highly regulated industry, maintaining constructive regulatory relationships is critical in ensuring stakeholder expectations are met and BNZ delivers on its commitments to its regulators.
About the RoleYou will provide oversight and independent reporting of the delivery of regulatory change into BNZ. You will help manage the Regulatory Change process and assist with the Regulatory Investment Forum in mobilising the banks response to regulatory change.
Along with ensuring sponsors / owners are allocated to the Regulatory Change Process within the requirements of the BNZ's Regulatory Risk Management Framework, you will provide insight and assistance to change sponsors / owners in forecasting potential change impacts and provide guidance to determine whether change should be managed as a Project or BAU change.
You will provide oversight of identification, recording and reporting of legislative / regulatory change obligations, obligation themes, risks and controls to ensure these are robust and meet BNZ's risk appetite whilst monitoring all regulatory / legislative change delivery initiatives to ensure they are initiated and resourced within required timeframes.
About you : You will have a broad knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, tools and techniques gained within the Financial Services sector.
Along with excellent communication and proven stakeholder engagement within a complex and diverse environment, you will comfortably provide oversight and challenge critical decisions.
including change impact assessment, enablement and value realisation. Advanced Excel reporting skills are essential and experience with PowerBI desirable.
The position is an integral part of the Regulatory Affairs team. In this role you will engage with a wide range of people across BNZ, so exceptional communication and relationship management skills are essential.
