We have opportunities available to join our Team in two different Automotive Engineering role.

  • Field Service Mechanic
  • Road Transport Mechanic (Workshop based) Both roles involve focussing on repair and maintenance on a variety of medium to large plant and equipment and road transport.
  • Our Field Mechanics are just that, out in the field completing repairs and maintenance while our Workshop Mechanic focusses on our trucks in the Depot.

    Our ideal candidates would be able to work, or assist, in both areas when necessary.When you join Higgins, you will have the support of a company that understands how important each member of our team is in delivering what we do best Roading and Infrastructure. Interested?

  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Minimum Level 4 Trade qualification
  • Practical experience operating industry equipment and plant
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and resilient (occasionally required to work night shift / call outs)
  • High attention to detail
  • Physically fit
