The opportunity
At AsureQuality our Biosecurity surveillance team provide services to help protect New Zealand against exotic pests and disease incursions and this is an opportunity for you to be on the frontline of this battle.
We provide biosecurity surveillance monitoring for projects such as MBovis protection, MPI National Invasive Ant Surveillance programme (NIAS) and Fruit Fly eradication providing protection at high-risk sites such as farms, sea-ports, airports and transitional facilities that are likely contamination points for pests and exotic species.
For this role as Senior Field Officer in the Waikato region, your primary role is to coordinate and undertake MBovis sample collection including cattle blood sampling and scanning.
Other biosecurity monitoring activities could include site inspection, trapping / surveillance work, data recording and sample handling whilst assisting with scheduling, data entry, health & safety compliance and reporting.

About you :
This is a 12 month fixed term contract working 40, flexible, hours a week and has the opportunity to be based out of the AsureQuality offices in Te Awamutu, Morrinsville or Hamilton
You will be involved with a number of surveillance programmes so it's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors and field work.
