About the role
We're looking for a highly experienced content design digital super star, to create world-class customer experiences in agile Spark.
Day to day as content designer, you'll work within a cross-functional agile squad focused on in-depth development and delivery of Spark products and services.
You'll help your squad deliver winning customer experiences by being :
A content management system expert, particularly in the area of Adobe Experience Manager.
A champion of digital best practice including SEO, accessibility and content publishing processes.
Well versed in HTML, CSS and creating efficient authoring processes through reusable templates and reusable components.
A competent writer : Understanding important messages, editing it down, reformatting and uploading it for omnichannel experiences accurately and efficiently.
Advanced knowledge of content strategy is important.
A consistent, collaborative editor : You'll need to publish content that aligns to editorial, UX / UI design and brand guidelines and work closely with others to ensure quality and consistency.
A tireless customer advocate : You'll be a champion for plain English that meets readability and accessibility standards.
Flexible : As a content designer within an agile squad, you'll be working across multiple projects, you'll need to embrace constant change.
A team player : Goes without saying. You'll work with a variety of people within the writing team and more widely, it's all about pitching in to make the team look good.

The craft and expertise you'll bring :
Experience in a content role where you've led a team or been a senior member of a team in a corporate environment. Previous roles could include : Content manager or lead, website content specialist, publisher, content designer, website designer, content producer or a digital producer.
Your skills will include :
Proven ability to quickly learn and teach others to operate a variety of content management systems, especially ones that require a level of technical expertise to maintain.
Experience and demonstrated ability in working with the Adobe suite of products - specifically Adobe Experience Manager (e.
g. content fragments, workflows and DAM) is a must.
Understanding of Google products is an advantage.
Solid understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, metadata and digital asset management.
Ability to optimise and drive processes for workflow management at scale.
Solid understanding of release processes in an agile delivery-focused environment
Expertise in translating technical jargon to customer-friendly plain English while adhering to standards. You'll also need to maintain and evangelise content and design standards across the business.
Confidence in writing to a style guide on a variety of platforms to tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities.
Proven understanding in using research and data insights to identify, deliver and measure successful outcomes to customers.
Familiarity with design activities such as journey mapping, process mapping, prototyping, wireframing and customer testing.
Ability to listen and communicate clearly and succinctly through all levels of the organisation and cross-functional teams, often challenging traditional views or methods.
You'll bring impeccable stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated aptitude in understanding the big picture while paying attention to the finer detail.
There is also opportunity to grow into a leadership role such as a Chapter Lead for the right individual. This role allows you to encompass additional responsibilities which take up 20% of the role. These include :
Driving discussions within the chapter and chapter area around best practice, standards, quality and processes and inspiring others to do the same.
Having regular one-on-one professional development conversations with your direct reports, actively working with them to seek out opportunities for them to learn and grow.
Working side by side with your chapter members when they need support to learn new skills or complete their tasks.
Representing the chapter during key discussions around digital strategy, technology, architecture and legal risk.
Being on-call for any content-related website emergencies.
Attending agile ceremonies for your chapter members such as the POCLAC (meeting of the product owner, chapter lead and the agile coaches) to talk about the squad's agile maturity and performance.
Completing tasks such as maintaining the publishing model, managing rosters for on-call work, approving leave and timesheets, recruiting, managing subscriptions and relationships with third party vendors.
