Job DescriptionThe opportunity Te Whiwhinga mahiAn opportunity has emerged for an engaged and motivated person to join the Academic Services team in the Faculty of Science as an Academic Services Coordinator on a fixed term contract until 31st Dec 2021.

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing Academic Services administration in the School of Computer Science.

Key Accountabilities : Carry our transactional tasks to assess applications, facilitate admission and process enrolmentsResolve complex admission, enrolment and records maintenance requestsCarry out enrolment checks, liaising with the Student Centre to ensure programme status, enrolment details and student exceptions correctly reflect each student’s status and course of studyCoordinate academic assessment of courses completed at other institutions to support decisions on the award of transfer creditCoordinate departmental timetabling requirementsCoordinate post-enrolment administration for postgraduate students including extensions of time, suspension of programme and eligibility for continuationCoordinate Doctoral application assessment liaising closely with the Department's Graduate Advisor and Central AdmissionsLiaise with Group Services Administrators to confirm room requirements and staff availability, timetabling and curriculum requirementsProvide day to day administrative support for academic committees including the provision of key data to advise strategy and teaching & learning initiatives.

You will be required to build robust relationships with internal stakeholders while effectively and professionally managing expectations and competing demands.

You will need to have a strong administrative background and will demonstrate an ability to work under considerable pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracyAlthough you will be part of a wider team, the ability to work independently and without close supervision when required is a vital factor for success in this role.
