    The Team : What we do

    ClinicalEngineering provides a service to all Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB)clinical departments and facilities, including the Chatham s, West Coast DHBand has external service contracts with private hospitals and health centres.

    We re a large team working across specialties to maintain approximately 26,000assets.

    The primary role ofthe Clinical Engineering team is to advise, maintain and repair clinicalequipment throughout Canterbury.

    The core skill set is electronics / electricalincluding mechanical elements. Clinical Engineering plays a key role infacilities planning, procurement, asset management and commissioning of newfacilities.

    This service is essential to the continued operations of theclinical services and delivering best possible care to the patient.

    This role is ideal for someone who has a strong administrative background, who is looking to work collaboratively with the Engineering Department and support them to run a more efficient process.

    You will support with reporting, documentation and provide advice on best practice to increase efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys process improvement and problem solving.

    In this role, youwill be responsible for :

  • Reporting, services and purchasing of materials
  • Asset management
  • Improving the quality and accessibility of business data
  • Assist with processing maintenance requests
  • Reception duties via phone and email
  • Minute taking
  • Communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Your skills willinclude :

  • Excellent MS Excel skills with a full knowledge of other MS Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with database applications and reporting tools
  • Previous experience in administration and / or industrial service sector
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Oracle / I-Proc is desirable
