Overview of the role
Analytics & Insights is a key critical function for our business, that enables us to deliver external, internal and customer-
centric best-in-class information, as well as providing market insights towards identifying our future strategic direction.
Reporting to the Marketing Insights Manager, this role is responsible for the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) across the New Zealand Steel businesses.
Specifically, you will be tasked with :
Managing internal / external data sources and market intelligence on the macro market environment including market share reporting & import tracking
Work to improve levels of data integrity and quality, working in partnership with data owners across the business
Champion the delivery of actionable insights that enable all to make well-informed decisions
Drive best practice approaches for the team and steer key stakeholders along the data deliver journey
Develop customer-centric measurement and reporting services
Apply and integrate new BI technologies aligned to IT and business strategy
If you are a committed, data driven go-getter that is keen to make your mark, then this role will appeal. With 3+ years’ experience in data management, infrastructure or data architecture and a relevant tertiary degree in market research / insights / data management / data science you will be well equipped for this role.

To be successful in this role your experience will also need to demonstrably include :
Significant experience in translating market intelligence into usable commercial information
Knowledge and skills in applying the principles and processes in developing / implementing marketing strategies and sales techniques
An applied understanding of R and / or Python business solutions
