We have some exciting opportunities for experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisors to join and established Health & Safety team with a crown entity in Wellington.

These permanent roles will contribute to the development and implementation of an organisation wide Health & Safety programme.

We are looking for experienced senior advisors with a strong background in Health & Safety, relevant government or industry experience and ideally some experience or knowledge of HSNO.

This could be your perfect opportunity to demonstrate and further develop your health and safety skills in an innovative and dynamic environment!

You will have :

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience

Have previous experience assisting in the development and implementation of an organisational H&S strategy

H&S project management experience would be ideal

Experience educating and training staff in managing workplace risks

Experience identifying hazards and risks that may affect the health of workers, and the effective management of significant health and safety incidents, including escalation and de-escalation procedures

A strong understanding of the Employment Relations Act 2000, Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and HSNO

Conversant in auditing and reporting activities in relation to health and safety activities

A strong understanding of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Regulations would be beneficial

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
