Based in our brand new office in New Plymouth, we have a new vacancy for a Service and Office Administrator. In this position you will provide high quality administrative support and assistance to the New Zealand Service team to ensure timely and effective flow of project and service activities.

The key responsibilities of this position include :

  • Administrative duties to support the New Zealand Service team and undertake all other project / service administration activities (eg handling orders, invoicing, etc)
  • Effectively use all business systems and reporting tools to create and manage Projects and service jobs :
  • Responsible for all administration and general office functions supporting all Emerson business in the region
  • Conduct regular safety inspection audits and recommends specific accident prevention control measures. Assist Managers / Supervisors to maintain compliance with the company safety policy
  • Reception duties attend to visitors, telephone calls and all incoming and outgoing logistic functions across all business platforms
  • Other ad hoc duties and tasks that come up from time to time
  • Some domestic travel as required
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements

  • Have or gain a working knowledge of current HSE statutory and corporate expectations and their implications.
  • Have or gain a working knowledge of business and departmental HSE risks and their control measures.
  • Have or gain a working knowledge of HSE risk management techniques.
  • Provide exemplary leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental performance.
  • Communicate HSE expectations to subordinates and contractors so they are known and complied with.
  • Monitor HSE performance of work activities.
  • To be successful in this position you should have :

  • Solid experience of working in a busy administrative and customer service role preferably in a large complex organisation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes
  • Proven record of displaying excellent Customer Service
  • Willingness to be flexible with work and support the team
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
