    At CommBank, our focus is to help people and businesses move forward whilst protecting them from Financial Crime with the help of various disciplines like anti-

    money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF) and financial crimes intelligence. Our Auckland based hub primarily supports anti-

    financial crime activities such as customer due diligence (KYC), customer tax status (CTS) management, transactional monitoring and privacy / data requests.

    Due to the rapid growth of the team, we are now looking for a Senior Manager Operations Capability & Change who will initiate and lead us through a transformational journey to Operational Excellence.

    Your Role

    Reporting to the Head of International Operations, you will develop, lead and execute an Operational Excellence roadmap whilst fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI), constantly finding better ways to balance service and efficiency.

    You will pride yourself on your strong growth mind-set and on your ability to drive best practices and strategic initiatives.

    With a constant lens on the business context and drivers, you will be responsible for the uplift of various operational structures, people capabilities and change management.

    Your key skills & capabilities

  • 5 years' experience in a senior practitioner or leadership position in banking or financial services
  • Strong people leadership skills demonstrated in an operational environment
  • Demonstrated Productivity and Continuous Improvement leadership, coaching and implementation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk, compliance and change management desirable
  • Proven capability to influence across a diverse range of stakeholder groups and functional lines
  • Understanding of Lean, Productivity and Continuous Improvement principles and real world applications within the financial services industry would be valued
  • A data-driven approach that backs up management decisions

    Being available for our stakeholders in Australia, means we are running on extended working hours (8.00am to 10.00pm NZT) with some flexibility around hours and working from home options.
