Amazon is seeking a self-motivated individual for an exciting new Data Center Material Associate II. This is an entry level position and qualified candidates do not require deep knowledge of software operations or networking protocols.
Amazon IT handles customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled.
This position will have several key functions including :
Provide Equipment Maintenance (Laptops, Headsets, Phones and others).
Testing of equipment to verify its functioning properly.
Ensemble and prepare the New Hires Packages.
Help to maintain the order of the storage.
Managing inventory and storage, keeping files updated.
Main point of contact with carriers to coordinate transportation of mail, equipment and any type of packages.
Sending out and receiving employee related documentation (certificate letters, sick leaves, etc.).
Sending out and receiving Amazon equipment to VCS employees.
Making sure employees receive shipments in a timely manner, as well as keeping track of returned equipment.
Dealing with vendors and purchasing of any type of goodies for team engagement.
Support Operations team planning All-Hands meetings, offsites and other team events.
Verify that new hires contracts are signed in a timely manner.
Responsible of creating and updating documentation and SOPs (Standard Operations Processes).
Create and follow new projects.
The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility.
The candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision. Key to the position is the ability to be organized, prioritized and on time while also serving as a "go to" for all members of this large team.
The position requires the capacity to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside of the group, while keeping abreast of general business objectives, policies, standards, services, facilities, procedures and related information in order to maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization.
1+ years of working experience in warehouse operations & logistic processes
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware systems.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Knowledge of main Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity of inventory management tools.
Able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances.
Bachelor's degree a plus.
Experience in Windows, Mac OS environments.
1+ years of experience in Logistic environment.
Knowledge of IT Industry Logistics would be an advantage.
Facilitate with logistics and supply chain planning for remote project implementations.
Ability to quickly learn organizational structure and the objectives of the team.
Strong organizational and communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituent groups such as senior management, peers, and outside vendors.
Ability to build a strong internal network.
