    About the Role

    We are looking for an experienced health and safety professional to deliver, implement and monitor our health and safety work programme to minimise occupational risk in the work place.

    We have the framework in place but we are looking for someone to set the priorities and drive the strategies, policies and standards across the organisation.

    A key focus of the role is to encourage engagement and commitment, raise awareness, drive continuous improvements and embed safety behaviours in everyday practice.

    Our team works at pace but we make sure we take time out to enjoy ourselves and celebrate success. This is a great opportunity to make the role your own and be part of a fun, collaborative and inclusive team.

    Skills and Experience

  • Our ideal candidate will bring :
  • expert knowledge and application of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in large organisations
  • a formal qualification in Health, Safety and Wellbeing (or related discipline) is essential
  • a determined yet pragmatic approach to Health and Safety practices
  • excellent communication and relationship management skills and a proven ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level
  • excellent written and oral presentation skills, including the ability to communicate health and safety to a variety of audiences
  • commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in te ao Māori.
