Paediatric Speech Therapist Child Development Service fixed term

Location : Hutt Valley Hospital

Service : Child development Service

Contract : Fixed Term 0.3 FTE

Come and work with our friendly and innovative Hutt Child Development Service while our wonderful speech therapist is on parental leave.

  • This is a 0.3 position (12 hours a week ). You will need to have sign off with Paediatric VFS and Fees experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience of feeding / dysphagia assessment with babies and children up to age of 16 as well feeding therapy knowledge and experience is essential .

    Experience with developmental assessments for Autism Spectrum is also an important part of this role. Training and experience in the use of the ADOS would be an advantage.

    Moū About you

    The speech language therapist will work as part of the CDS speech language team, in profession specific assessment and intervention, and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

    Work is within service based clinics and in community settings, such as homes and education facilities.

    The position is primarily clinical in nature, providing assessment and intervention to clients to meet service agreements and contracts.

    The speech and language therapist will be expected to follow CDS pathway processes in place to guide the work undertaken and to meet outcome expectations of the service.
