Our awesome team is comprised of experts in the field of forensic accounting, investigations, ant-money laundering, forensic technology and data analytics.

We support clients from just about every industry imaginable to work through moments of crisis and proactively manage their integrity related risks.

  • Our work includes : · Completing integrity related investigations for clients;· Providing specialist fraud and corruption prevention & detection advice;
  • and· Supporting clients and lawyers resolve disputes by providing forensic accounting and expert witness services. We are continuing to expand our national forensic practice and are now seeking a talented, highly motivated and innovative practitioner to join the Auckland Forensic team.

    The role You will be an integral member of a highly successful, collaborative and multi-disciplinary team. Your role will require you to work closely with clients and senior members of the team to conduct reactive investigations and provide advice on integrity related risk matters.

    You may also draw on your accounting knowledge to support senior team members as they prepare expert evidence in litigation matters.

    Over time. you will develop effective business relationships with clients. With access to leading edge technology, you will help clients navigate and resolve crises and highlight risks that may be emerging in their organisation.

    If desired, Deloitte will support you in completing your CA or other equivalent professional designation.

    Your profile

  • You are driven, self-motivated and love to learn. You will comfortable balancing multiple client projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Key to your success within Deloitte Forensic is your technical expertise coupled with your people skills’ and ability to engage with your peers, the wider business and our clients.

    Ideally you will have :

  • Completed a relevant University Degree (e.g. BCom)
  • Worked in a professional services environment for 1-2 years
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with great interpersonal skills. You will thrive in collaborative environments.
  • You will have strong self-awareness and good emotional intelligence which are really helpful in our line of work!

  • An ability to be flexible, adaptable and resilient and operate in ambiguous situations
  • A desire to get involved with driving technology-enabled change and delivering high quality outcomes for our clients
  • You may also have :

  • Had exposure to risk management and / or assessing internal controls
  • An approach to solving problems objectively using analysis, experience and judgement
  • A CA, CPA or other equivalent designation (completed or in progress) is a plus.
