He kōrero mōu : About you A tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering or business, or equivalent gained through minimum 3 years operational experience in a waste management environment or similar operational experience.
Some experience in contract management and developing collaborative relationships with contractors. A successful track record of working in a challenging environment with competing priorities.
Excellent organisational and communication skills coupled with sound technical understanding and working knowledge of the Waste Minimisation Act 2008, Solid Waste bylaws and other relevant legislation.
Being able to display experience working in a waste management and local government or relative field is a strong advantage.
Relevant knowledge of the Health and Safety Act and a full clean driver's licence.Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou : What we offerAuckland Council's Waste Solutions team has undergone a season of change and are currently hiring for two Contracts Advisors based in our Wellesley St and Henderson offices.
This is an opportunity for you to provide subject matter expertise and work collaboratively within the Waste Contracts and Compliance team to manage stakeholder customers and contract partners.
You will ensure effective service delivery of all existing and new waste management contracts related to refuse, recycling, inorganics, community recycling centres, organics, landfill disposal, regional waste sites, streetscapes, litter and WasteWise programmes.
