He angitūtanga : The opportunity
There is an exciting opportunity to join the Māori Outcomes and Relationships leadership team in this senior role. Reporting to the General Manager Māori Outcomes and Relationships, you will lead, implement, and monitor the Māori Outcomes Programme for Te Kaunihera ō Tāmaki Makaurau.
In this unique role, you will focus on enabling conditions for the achievement of Māori Outcomes, and sharing our learnings both inside and outside of council.
By leading the department’s Organisational strategy work programme, you will champion and model collective and Māori-centred approaches that build on our shared goals and provide empathic, ground-up solutions, embedding this thinking across the organisation and with our local and central government colleagues.
You will develop best practice guidance for Māori outcomes across council and develop strong relationships in council, with other local governments and with central government to achieve holistic outcomes for Māori.
He kōrero mōu : About you
You will have a degree in a relevant field such as Policy or Law or possess equivalent extensive experience in similar senior roles.
With your proven experience managing multi-faceted, large scale, complex projects within the public sector, you will bring strong leadership experience, established networks and expertise in project delivery and change management methodologies to this role.
You build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Highly effective communication and organisational skills will be key here.
You are flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic in your approach, with the ability to operate autonomously while gaining the co-operation of others using your leadership skills to take us all on the journey with you.
