Here you are! A new decade and you want to make it count. That may be why you logged onto Seek? You’re exploring your options.
Great news, so are we! Fingers crossed that the stars will align.
We are a company of ambitious, inventive craftspeople who revel in #GSD. We believe that the best way to predict the future is to create it and we intend to make it count.
We are Mobi2Go and we were homegrown here in Wellington. Our Headquarters remains here and we have regional offices in Melbourne and Toronto.
We raised Series A last year and spent 2019 building new product offerings that we’re busy releasing into the wild! The energy in the office is palpable and 2020 is stacking up to be a very exciting year!
Our mission is to help restaurants take back the power and become even more successful by growing their sales and brands with our digital ordering systems and in-store kiosks.
We enable our customers to own their brand and customer experience. The products and services we build for our customers have a tangible impact on growing their businesses, which is pretty rewarding.
We power NZ brands like Pita Pit, Habitual Fix and BurgerFuel, as well as Australian brands like Ribs and Burgers, Mad Mex and Lord of the Fries amongst many others.
With a flat reporting structure we all have the ability to influence the direction of the company in a way that may not be possible working for another organisation.
At Mobi2Go you can master your craft, help others to master theirs and enjoy a reasonable level of autonomy in your day to day.
We get to do GREAT work.
We’re on the hunt for a hungry Devops Engineer to join our small, but perfectly formed Product and Engineering crew. Reporting to our Director of Engineering, on a day to day basis you would build, manage and maintain the front end of the Mobi2Go platform.
Success means that it is well executed, fast and functional for our customers.
We start our day with a standup and we showcase our work at the end of the sprint to the whole company. We do retro’s so that we can sharpen our approach to delivery.
We support each other with peer code reviews, coaching and training and rotating dev support rosters.
We document our work to help others (and ourselves!) understand. We’re all about test automation so that we can move faster.
We believe that humour is good for the soul, on a personal level, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
What are we looking for?
Teamwork makes the dreamwork is a sentiment that you can comfortably embrace (even if the actual phrase may make you cringe a little)! We communicate (written and verbal) internally and externally with teammates and customers.
You need to be able to foster good relationships through great communication (which may include simplifying tech speak for non tech peeps and Slacking like a champ).
We value curiosity and humility. You fill your cup’ through constant learning. You look for opportunities to grow your skills and expand your techniques.
You look around corners with a healthy dose of pragmatism.
From a tech perspective, you are experienced in Linux system engineering with a demonstrated history of working in large complex AWS environments.
You will have skills in Linux management, automation, scripting and AWS cloud infrastructure. You’ve worked with web development languages PHP 7.
x or Python 3.x and frameworks like Symfony, Laravel or Django and value test driven development and automation. You have experience with, and have a firm understanding of, the full infrastructure stack including Linux, MySQL, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Redis and AWS services like CodeDeploy, DynamoDB, CloudFront, API Manager and Cognito.
Prior experience with high-volume eCommerce - billing and payment systems in particular - would be a healthy plus.
We strive to create an experience for you to do the best work of your life. This means interesting work, great leaders and workmates, flexible hours if you need them, a focus on wellbeing and a great office environment.
Plus we have dogs in the office.
